Stumped was founded in 2015 by a family-run business in Knysna, South Africa. Our aim was to introduce a range of wooden toys and kits that would reignite a love for timber crafts in homes across South Africa. After many months of product planning and testing, we developed our first collection and launched our online store.

Our ethos is rooted in open-ended play, where children learn to rely on their creativity to lead the way as they build and explore. We believe that imaginative, play-based learning is vital during early childhood development.
